The UEFA Technical Observer panel has chosen the best ten goals of the 2021/22 UEFA Champions League season, with Karim Benzema’s thunderous header away at Chelsea winning Goal of the Season for standing out the most.
As the leading scorer in the tournament this season, Benzema’s goal was the first of a remarkable hat-trick he completed at Stamford Bridge in the quarterfinals. It was also one of his 15 overall this season.
Vincius Jnior, a teammate, finished second thanks to his single effort for Shakhtar Donetsk, and Kylian Mbappé, whose outstanding late goal for Paris against Madrid at home in the round of 16, won him third place, came in second.
