2022 Beach Soccer AFCON Qualify Senegal, the defending champion, and two other semifinalists from last year’s Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations competition have earned spots in this year’s competition.
Following the second legs of the qualifications over the weekend, the giants are one of the nations who have officially qualified for the match to be played in Mozambique.
However, because the second leg of the qualifier between Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire was stopped before it was completed, the outcome is still up in the air.
Senegal, the current champions, reaffirmed their position by overcoming Cameroon and winning the Lions in both legs.
The Teranga Beach Lions reaffirmed their position in the return leg with a 7-3 victory to progress after defeating Cameroon 9-1 in the first match.
Uganda, who advanced to the semifinals of the last tournament, earned a spot in this year’s competition by defeating Comoros 9-5 overall and 4-3 in the second leg.
The other team that advanced to the previous tournament’s semifinals, Mozambique, has already secured their position as the event’s hosts for this year.
2022 Beach Soccer AFCON Qualify
Egypt and Nigeria are two other beach soccer powerhouses that will be there.
After losing the first leg 6-5, the Pharaohs defeated the Black Sharks of Ghana in the second match 7-5.
Libya lost out on qualifying because they decided not to participate in the final qualification matchup against the West Africans.

Madagascar, the 2015 African champions, will be in Mozambique after defeating the Seychelles 6-2 in the return match to secure an 11-4 triumph overall.
Mozambique will host the Beach Soccer AFCON from October 21 to October 30.
