With 109 goals in 149 games, renowned Iranian attacker Ali Daei holds the record for most goals scored in Asia. In addition, from 2006 until September 2021, he held the global record for most goals scored in international competition.
Ali Daei’s total was surpassed by Cristiano Ronaldo as he scored twice against Republic of Ireland on September 1, 2021, in a 2022 World Cup qualifying match to make him as All Time Asian International Scorers.
