ASFAR CAF Women’s Champions League 2022 Winner, The ASFAR are the first winners of the CAF Women’s Champions League after beating nine-time champions Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 last night at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

The home team threatened to add the second goal through Ahmamou Douha but his feeble shot inside the box failed to faze goalkeeper Andile Dlamini four minutes before half-time.

The Moroccans quickly got back into the game as they came close to getting the second of the match when Aziza Rabbah headed in from the net three minutes after the break. The Moroccan side continued to look for the second goal and they were rewarded with it six minutes later when Rabbah scored her second of the match.

The South African team side players were reduced to nine players after captain Nhlapho collected his second card of the game after fouling Redouani in the 52nd minute.

The second hit came for Mohamed Amine Alioua’s women from a free-kick when Tagnaout pushed Jradi hard from inside the area two minutes later.

Despite being down two players, the South Africans pushed for a comeback through Lelona Daweti and Melinda, but the duo were unable to make the most of their half chances.
