ATK Mohun Bagan Squad 2022/2023 ATK Mohun Bagan FC started competing in the 2020–21 season after merging with the football division of Mohun Bagan AC, a multi-sport organization. The organization maintains Mohun Bagan AC’s history, traditions, and current registration with AIFF and IFA (W.B.).
ATK Mohun Bagan Squad 2022/2023 is primarily owned by the Sanjiv Goenka-led Kolkata Games & Sports consortium, with Mohun Bagan AC acting as a co-owner. ATK Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, the longtime city rival of Mohun Bagan, continue to have a bitter rivalry known as the Boro Match. The inaugural derby game took place on August 8th, 1921.
The Mariners also have a considerate rivalry with the big clubs from Kerala; namely Gokulam Kerala and Kerala Blasters.
ATK Mohun Bagan Squad 2022/2023 Due to a shortage of first team players and a lack of a reserve squad, the club withdrew from the Calcutta Premier Division and declined to compete in the Durand Cup in the 2021–22 season. Sourav Ganguly, one of the co-owners of ATK Mohun Bagan Pvt. Ltd., made the decision to leave his position with the club before to the start of the 2021–22 season in order to prevent a conflict of interest with Sanjiv Goenka, the club’s major owner and chairman.
The club signed Hugo Boumous for more than $250K and Liston Colaco for almost $161K, two of the biggest moves in Indian football in 2021. Joni Kauko, a midfielder from Finland who had just competed in UEFA Euro 2020, was also recruited by ATK Mohun Bagan.
ATK Mohun Bagan Squad 2022/2023 Up until their loss to Jameshedpur and third-place finish in the league standings, ATK Mohun Bagan and Goa had both gone 15 games without a loss. In the semifinals of the ISL Playoffs, they fell to Hyderabad on aggregate score. Through the qualification play-offs, the club comfortably advanced to the AFC Cup group stage and ultimately secured a place in the inter-zone play-off semifinals.
