Bei mpya ya mafuta ya petrol | EWURA Fuel Price
EWURA Fuel Price, Oil Consumers in Tanzania will be forced to dig deeper into their pockets after the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (Ewura) announced new retail prices for the energy that this month has risen compared to February due to rising transportation costs.
Rising prices for petroleum, diesel and kerosene were expected due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine which has disrupted the world’s energy transmission systems. Russia is one of the world’s largest oil producers.
Ewura today announced the new oil price limit for April 2022 and indicated that retail prices for petrol imported through the Port of Dar es Salaam have increased to Sh2,861 per liter from Sh2,540 last month.
As a result of the increase in prices, firefighters will be forced to pierce their pockets, which will cost Sh321 per liter more than the price they were buying in March.
The new diesel price will be Sh2,692 per liter if it rises to Sh289 from the current Sh2,403.
The pain will also affect kerosene consumers where prices have risen from Sh2,208 to Sh2,682 which is an average increase of Sh474.
Ewura Petroleum Director Gerald Maganga speaking to reporters in Dodoma today, April 5, 2022, said the prices will come into effect tomorrow, April 6, 2022.
