Egyptian Premier League Top Scorer 2021/2022, which consists of 18 clubs, uses the Egyptian Second Division as a promotion and relegation system. The majority of seasons span from August through May. In contrast to most other leagues, every game is played every day of the week.
The local leagues that had previously existed were combined when the Egyptian Premier League was established in 1948. Since its inception, the league has had 70 clubs in competition Egyptian Premier League Top Scorer 2021/2022. More often than any other club, Al Ahly has won the championship 42 times. Zamalek, their main adversary, has won the league 13 times. Only five other teams—Ghazl El Mahalla, Ismaily, Al Mokawloon Al Arab, Olympic Club, and Tersana—have won the league.
According to CAF’s 5-Year Ranking for the 2022–23 season, which is based on results in African tournaments over the previous five seasons, the Egyptian Premier League is one of the best national leagues and is rated second in Africa. Al Ahly was voted the African Club of the Century by CAF, and Egyptian teams have won the CAF Champions League a record 16 times. The CAF Confederation Cup has also been won by two clubs Egyptian Premier League Top Scorer 2021/2022.
