JInsi Ya Kupiga Kura Tuzo Za MTV MAMA 2022/23, You have the ability to vote and publicly support the nominees for the majority of our categories at this year’s MTV MAMA. The official guidelines for voting in the “2020 MTV Africa Music Awards” are shown below (the “Official Voting Rules”).
ViacomCBS Networks Africa (“VCNA”) will be in charge of overseeing the MTV MAMA and all connected matters, including the choice of nominations, handling of voting, and award presentation.

CATEGORIES
There are a total of twenty (20) MTV MAMA award categories, of which sixteen (16) are the main categories (“Main Categories”) and one (1) is the social category (“Social Category”), as described in Section 8 on JInsi Ya Kupiga Kura Tuzo Za MTV MAMA 2022/23.
The MTV Music Editorial Team selects the winners of the Video of the Year, MAMA Legend Award, and Generation Change Awards; voting is not permitted for these honors. Later, the VCNA has the right to introduce further voting options and categories.

ELIGIBILITY
Voters must be sixteen (16) years of age or older to cast a ballot, and they cannot work for, be an agent for, or be a representative of VCNA, any of its parent companies, affiliates, or associated businesses. To join, minors must have their parent’s or guardian’s permission. VOID WHERE CONTRARY TO LAW OR WHERE RESTRICTIVE.

Votes submitted during certain periods (“Bonus Voting Period(s)”) will be accorded additional value (determined by VCNA from time to time) (e.g. one vote counts as 2 votes, or 3 votes etc.). Currently, the Bonus Voting Periods have not been detailed: each vote submitted during such times will be equal to 2 votes.
