Ihefu was relegated last season after losing 1-0 to KMC in the last Premier League game played on July 19, 2021 at the Uhuru tournament in Dar es Salaam.

That was his first season to participate in the Premier League, where Ihefu was relegated again and returned to the First Division after finishing the league with few points (35) where it joined Mwadui and two other teams to be relegated directly.
