According to the research organization CIES Football Observatory on Liverpool most valuable player in 2022, Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz is the team’s most valuable player.
According to CIES’ most recent research, the Colombian is worth €110 million and is the only player from Liverpool to make the list of the top 10 most expensive players in the world.
Diaz is among of Liverpool most valuable player in 2022, who cost €45 million when he transferred from Porto to Anfield in January, has shone for the Reds, scoring six goals and dishing out five assists in 26 games.
The CIES calculates a player‘s worth based on a variety of factors, such as age, performance, economic value of club, and inflation. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Alisson Becker, and Mohamed Salah are all included among the top 100 most valuable players in the world, with Diaz ranking ninth.
Alexander-Arnold is the most expensive full-back, costing €87.4 million, more than Reece James of Chelsea ($82.5 million) and Joao Cancelo of Manchester City ($78 million). Jota, Liverpool’s next most expensive player, is valued at €85.3 million, while Alisson, PSG’s second most expensive goalkeeper behind Gianluigi Donnarumma, is valued at €68.4 million.
Salah ranks 81st on the list of Liverpool most valuable player in 2022, and the fact that his contract expires in a year undoubtedly reduces his worth. Given the uncertainties surrounding his future, the Reds would likely receive his worth of €55 million if they were to sell their talisman this summer, according to CIES.

Jude Bellingham, a rumored target for Liverpool, is the most expensive Englishman on the list with a price tag of €133.7 million. The most expensive player outside of Europe’s top five leagues is Darwin Nunez of Benfica, who has been linked to Anfield as a potential Sadio Mane successor. His worth is €70.1m.
The player with the highest projected transfer worth is Kylian Mbappe, who recently acknowledged that he had previously discussed a move to the Reds with Jurgen Klopp. His value is valued at €205.6 million. Vinicius Jr., who won the Champions League final match, is ranked second with a value of €185.3m, while Erling Haaland, who will join Manchester City, is ranked third with a value of €152.6m.
As of January 2022, Trent Alexander-Arnold claimed the highest Liverpool most valuable player in 2022 estimated transfer value of Liverpool FC players, with an estimated value of approximately 112.8 million euros, outranking Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah, with values of 79.6 million euros and 66.8 million euros respectively.
