MAMA 2022 Vote for MNET Asian Music Awards, K-pop’s biggest awards show is getting a name change in its ongoing efforts to become a globally recognized festival, Billboard exclusively reports.

Formerly known as the Mnet Asian Music Awards, the award show hosted by Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM that recognizes the best K-pop artists of the year, as well as musicians from across Asia, will be known as the MAMA Awards in the future.

Last year, the company announced its hope to eventually hold the event in the United States after hosting MAMA in several cities in Asia. This year’s MAMA Awards will be held at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan, a 40,000 capacity stadium.
