Morogoro Vocational Teachers Training College MVTTC, The establishment of an Instructor Training Unit (ITU) on the premises of the current Dar es Salaam Regional Vocational Training and Service Center in 1973 marked the beginning of Tanzania’s history of vocational teacher training (DSM – RVTSC). The Canadian International Development Agency provided technical assistance for the establishment of the ITU (CIDA).

ITU was founded with the intention of producing vocational instructors for the National Vocational Training Division (NVTD), which later became the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) in 1995 as a result of the VET Act No. 1 of 1994 in Morogoro Vocational Teachers Training College MVTTC.
MVTTC now only has one campus, which is situated around 500 meters above sea level at the base of the renowned Uluguru mountain range. The campus has a square footage of 7887 meters. It includes a Basic Vocational Training Center, VETA Eastern Zone Office, and teacher-training facilities Morogoro Vocational Teachers Training College MVTTC.

TERMS OF ADMISSION
A student is admitted to the College after fulfilling the minimum requirements for each programme of study and understanding that in accepting the admission he/she commits himself/herself to adhere to its charter, statutes, ordinances, regulations, rules, and by-laws.
MVTTC is a higher learning institution and expects student’s behavior both on and off campus, to be moral, ethical, and legal. The MVTTC reserves the right to withdraw admission for conduct that is contrary to the objectives of the College.
