Moroka Swallows FC Squad 2022/23 | Swallows FC New Players 2022/2023: Moroka Swallows Football Club (known as The Birds) was founded in 1947 and has been playing soccer ever since. The team headquarter is located in Soweto. They are one of the original two Soweto teams, which means they share an intense rivalry with the Orlando Pirates.
Although the team has only played for a few years, they have met many challenges – from relegation to success. But no matter what happens, they’re always dedicated to their fans who will always be behind them.
They won the 2019-20 National First Division and participated in the 2020-21 South African Premier Division, finishing sixth in their first season back in the top-flight football league system and qualifying for the 2021 MTN 8 Cup. Dobsonville Stadium is where they play their home games.
