Mozambique Moçambola 2022 Table and Standings Moçambola (or Campeonato Moçambicano de Futebol, Portuguese for Mozambican Football Championship) is the top division of Mozambican football. It is organized by the Liga Moçambicana de Futebol.
The first season of the competition was held in 1976, not long after the nation gained its independence from Portugal. Académica Maputo, AD Pemba, Desportivo de Maputo, Desportivo Tete, and Textáfrica were the only five clubs that participated.
Liga 2M was the name of the league up to 2005; Moçambola was the new name.
Mozambique Moçambola 2022 Table and Standings There are 12 teams in the league, and each team plays the other twice in a round-robin format for a total of 24 matches every season. The second division is demoted to the worst two clubs in the league standings. At the moment, it happens from March/April through October.
