Boxer Hassan Mwakinyo has dropped 16 places in the world’s highest paid boxing ranks in tandem with losing half a star. The number one boxer in the country has been ranked 33rd in the world by super welter.
Initially Mwakinyo, who now lives in the United States, was the 17th boxer in the world with four stars, needing one star to make the list of five-star world boxing champions with varying points. According to the world’s paid boxing network (Boxrec), Mwakinyo now has three and a half stars.
That is another blow to Mwakinyo who earlier this year stripped of all his WBF and ABU African titles for failing to defend them in time. Terrell Gausha is the 17th place previously occupied by Mwakinyo, with Jermell Charlo the world’s number one and Sebastian Fundora the second.

The four-star winger is one of the few African boxers to have won the record with Mexico’s Saul Alvarez as the continent’s top scorer.
Mwakinyo is the 19th world boxer in the super welterweight division and number one in Africa and Tanzania in the same weight class while at pound of pound he holds 224th place in Rank Za Mabondia Tanzania, Mwakinyo 2022.

Alvarez middleweight boxer led the way with 1637 points while American welterweight champion Terence Crawford grabbed number two with 1489 points. Another American, Vasiliy Lomachenko concludes the top three with 1301 points fighting for light weight.
The number one welterweight boxer Manny Pacquiao a Filipino national on the list has been 10th behind boxer Gennady Golovkin of the United States (middle), Errol Spence Jr. of the United States, (welter), Oleksandr Usyk of the Ukrane (cruiser), Miguel Berchelt of Mexico (super feather), Callum Smith of England (super middle) and Leo Santa Cruz of the United States (feather).
Andy Ruiz who is also the number one heavyweight boxer on the pound of pound list has grabbed number three while his current rival, Anthony Joshua is 23rd.
