Ratiba Azam Federation Cup 2021-2022
The ASFA Cup or Azam Sport Federation is the top knockout tournament of the Tanzanian football. Previously, the Nyerere Cup was the top knockout tournament. It was created in 1974 and was contested by teams from both Tanzania mainland and the Isles of Zanzibar.
The ASFA cup winner represents the country in the African Confederations Cup tournament in the next season, the Premier League title holders in Tanzania won the cup.
History shows that Yanga was the first team to win the title in the 2015/16 season. He got it after defeating Azam 3-1 in the final. But since Yanga was the Tanzania Premier League champion at the time, he allowed the rivals to enter to represent the FA Cup.
