Ratiba Championship Tanzania 2022/2023 Ligi Daraja La Kwanza, Ratiba Ligi Daraja La Kwanza. The 2022/23 Championship Tanzania season will be the 26th season of the Championship Tanzania, the top Tanzania division league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2021.
The season will begin on 9 August 2022 and is scheduled to conclude on 14 May 2023. Fixtures were announced on 17 July 2022.
All teams play each other twice, once at home and once away, with a total of 38 games played each. After this first stage of matches, the league splits into three sections (Premier League, Championship and Relegation) depending on each team’s final position in the table.
Each section is contested over 38 games as before, but with each team only playing their rivals from within their own section.

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has confirmed that the league will consist of 16 teams. The league is contested by 16 teams in a double round-robin system, with each team playing every other club twice.

Three points are awarded for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned champion. If two or more teams are tied on points, the tiebreakers used are head-to-head results, then goal difference and then goals scored.
