The Tanzania Mainland Premier League (Swahili: Ligi Kuu Tanzania Mainland) is the top professional football league in Tanzania and is managed by the Tanzania Football Federation.

The Tanzania Premier League (TPL) follows a standard two-round system; each team plays the other twice, at home and away. The winners of each match get three points, a draw gets one point for both teams, while a loss gets zero points.

The bottom two teams will be automatically relegated to the Championship and replaced by the Championship winners and runners-up. The teams that ranked third and fourth in worst place enter the playoffs with the teams that ranked 3rd and 4th from the First Division League.
