Ratiba Ya Timu Ya Taifa Ya Wanawake Tanzania: After a string of poor performances from the Tanzania National Football Team, Taifa Stars in recent international games, fans of the game in Tanzania can now look forward to some good news with the excellent performance of Twiga Stars, a Tanzania women’s national football team composed entirely of Tanzanian female talents.
The team, which is a part of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), has been on an unbeaten streak since its formation and wins many hearts of football fans in Tanzania after their first qualification for the CAF Women’s Championship finals on 5 June 2010 after completely destroy Eritrea 11–4 on aggregate.
Timu ya Taifa Ya Wanawake Twiga Stars recently clinched a spot in the CECAFA Women’s Championship and COSAFA Women’s Championship. Through this achievement, Twiga Stars has become the first-ever Tanzanian women’s football team to qualify for any type of continental tournament.
