The Serengeti Girls Under-17 National Team officially qualified for the World Cup Finals after a 1-0 victory in their match against Cameroon on June 05, 2022 at Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar.
The Serengeti Girls advanced to the semi-finals with a 5-1 aggregate victory after beating Cameroon 4-1 two weeks ago, finishing the series at home with just one goal to secure a place in the final. those expected to be shot in India in October this year Serengeti Girls Yafuzu Kombe la Dunia 2022.
However the squad arrived at Julius Nyerere Airport on the night of June 05,2022 at 3pm from Zanzibar in their third stage match against Cameroon. The Serengeti Girls are also the team that produced the top scorer Clara Luvanga with a total of 10 goals.
Following the victory and the unique national representation made by the team, the government through the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports was able to invite the team to join Parliament earlier this morning when the ministry presented its budget read by Hon. Minister Mohammed Mchengerwa.
It should be noted that the Serengeti Girls have been one of the few teams from Africa to represent other nations in the tournament, however the success is due to the sustained efforts of almost 4 years by the TFF leadership under President Wallace. Karia and his Secretary Kidao Wilfred co-operate after Serengeti Girls Yafuzu Kombe la Dunia 2022, with the technical efforts of the head coach of the national teams for girls Bakari Shime along with the entire Technical bench.
