U23 AFCON Qualifiers Fixtures 2022/23 | Ratiba Ya AFCON U-23:  The TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations U23 is a biennial football tournament for national teams of the continent.

The first round of the TotalEnergies AFCON U23 qualifiers involves 39 member associations competing, while Morocco is automatically qualified due to being the host of the tournament. The remaining 38 teams will compete in the qualifications.

The qualification draw for the TotalEnergies U23 Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2023, was decided on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

The tournament will take place in Morocco in June 2023, and it is an important event because it will serve as a qualifying competition for the Summer Olympics #Paris2024. Here we have brought you the complete schedule for the first-round qualifiers.

Format For AFCON Qualifiers U-23:

– First round: The 20 lowest-ranked teams will compete in the first round (knockout from home and away matches), with 10 teams qualifying for the second round.

– 2nd round: The 10 teams who qualified from the first round plus the 18 who were excused from the first round will play the second round (knock out from home and away matches), qualifying 14 teams to the third round.

– Third round: In addition to the host country Morocco, the 14 teams qualified from the second round will play the third round (knock out from home and away matches), qualifying 7 teams to the final competition.

  • 1 team from UNAF: Libya
  • 3 teams from WAFU A: Gambia, Guinea Bissau & Mauritania
  • 3 teams from WAFU B: Burkina Faso, Niger & Togo
  • 1 team from UNIFFAC: RD Congo
  • 5 teams from CECAFA: Djibouti, Ethiopia, Rwanda, South Sudan & Tanzania
  • 7 teams from COSAFA: Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique & Namibia
