Zanzibar Football Federation 2022
The Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) (Swahili: Shirikisho la Mpira wa Miguu Zanzibar) is Zanzibar’s main football body.
The ZFA was an associate member of the Confederation of African Football, Africa’s governing organization. Following a FIFA rejection in 2005, the ZFA was kicked out of CAF, only to be restored as an associate member after extensive campaigning.

As a result, club teams affiliated with the ZFA are eligible to compete in CAF’s continental club championships, but the Zanzibar national team is not. Due to their associate member status, the ZFA are unable to vote on CAF matters. Players from Zanzibar are eligible to compete in international competition for Tanzania, the sovereign territory’s representative.
